Officially adding this to my career highlights... I was one of three interior designers asked to design a space in the Rowe Furniture showroom at High Point Market. Seeing it go from paper to completion has been WILD – in the best way! Beautiful fabrics, stylish furniture, and truly just the most welcoming space. I cannot say enough good things about this experience!
Can’t lie, I was super nervous about revealing this to my peers, but wow oh wow, the feedback from you all has been life-giving! Thank you to everyone who stopped by the showroom, posted our design on Insta, or shared your kind words.
After seeing the space in completion, I'm beyond proud of what we put together. My Rowe design is warm, collected and unexpected. I wanted to create an approachable, lived-in look that juxtaposed both old and new elements.
My ultimate goal was to create a space based around our signature vintage modern style. The space delivers our “old meets new” aesthetic by combining the classic forms of the velvet chairs and slip cover sofa with more contemporary frames such as the minimalist leather ottomans and plaid sofa, for a look that walks the line between transitional and modern.
I could envision a world traveler who appreciates beauty and heritage living here. She is stylish, sophisticated, and family-oriented. The client’s possessions are part of her personal narrative and hold precious memories within them. She knows that new doesn’t always mean better and quality is non-negotiable. With this in mind, everything in the space feels collected and cherished, but also made to be enjoyed by the people most important to the imagined client — her family.
I’d have to say the velvet, rust-colored chairs are our favorite Rowe pieces in the space. Though, to be honest, I’m loving all the Rowe products so much, I’m considering copy and pasting this design into our upcoming #ProjectBlackOak - ha!
Speaking of copy and pasting... this entire gallery wall will be available in our shop this fall - stay tuned! Beyond these collected pieces, we’re looking forward to seeing warmer colors on walls and textiles in the coming months with lots of RED.
If you missed our Insta Story from our time at @highpointmarket with Rowe, you can see the project come to life in our #myrowedesign Instagram highlight.
